Ealry English silver thimble with an indented rim and engraved band. The thimble has a worn inscription which reads From A Friend though the word From has almost totally worn away, A Friend is still visible. The thimble has three needle punches but not holes. This is an early example of a thimble and is in good condition considering its age. (E)
