Marked 5, JS&S, Birmingham Silver and initialled MET. The rim of the thimble has an all round detail to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. ERII 1953 around all of the United Kingdoms symbolic flowers, Rose (England), Thistle (Scotland), Leek (Wales) and Clover (Ireland), followed by the 4 horse drawn Royal carriage leaving Buckingham Palace and heading towards Westminster Abbey watched over by a trumpet playing angel. The thimble is in perfect condition. (E)
